Margaret M. Pittman

Margaret Pittman, 81, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Funeral Services will be held at 3PM Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Spencer Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Palmetto Cemetery with Ricky Pittman, Josey Davis, Don Peters, Harold Jones, Ashford Pierce, and David Waller serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include Leon Braddock, Henry Towels, Gene Leggett, and Ben Nelson.

Born January 28, 1930 in MacClenny, Florida to the late Calvin and Ruth B. Morgan, Mrs. Pittman was a former x-ray technician and secretary. She had been a resident of Glynn County for most of her life. She was a member of Norwich Baptist Church. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed sports. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by a son, Glenn W. Pittman, and a sister, Jean Mobley.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Tharion Pittman of Brunswick, a son, Randy Pittman, Sr., two grandchildren, Randy Pittman, Jr and his wife Christa, and Katlyn Pittman, two great grandchildren, Randy Pittman III and Brycen Pittman. A sister Lee Jones and her husband Ed of Florida.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1PM until the funeral hour at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Golden Isles. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
