After completing her MBA at Boston University in 1978, Margaret joined L.F. Rothschild in 1979 as an investment banker in Manhattan. Upon retiring from Southport Partners in 1993, Margaret and Matt began a multi-year circumnavigation trip on their boat, Santana, that took them to the far corners of the world. During her travels, she authored a variety of articles on topics ranging from cuisine to distant, remote islands that were published in Cruising World Magazine.
Margaret loved cuisine, entertaining, skiing, travel, boating and art. She loved her family fiercely and was the resident expert on family history and ancestry. Margaret was a dazzling and charismatic storyteller and could often be found regaling stories of her travel adventures, business conquests and family tales while hosting thoughtful, expertly planned, delicious gourmet dinners.
