Margaret Rose Wood

Margaret Rose Brown Wood of St. Simons Island formerly of Baxley, passed away after a long illness at Hospice of the Golden Isles on September 24, 2015 at the age of 74. Margaret was born October 20,1940 in Savannah, Georgia to the late George W. Brown and Rose Weimer Brown. She is preceded in death by the love of her life; husband Reggie Wood.

Margaret was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church and will be fondly remembered for her love of hosting dinners, cooking for others and caring for children

She is survived by her daughters, Regina L. Peacock (Rick) of White Post, Virginia; Andrea Leigh Flinn of Ellabelle; her sister Mary Katherine Arens (Ray) of St. Simons Island; granddaughter Addison Rose Peacock of White Post, Virginia; nephew Thomas Brown Anderson (Bruce) of Medford, Massachusetts; her niece Martha Greer Ward (Jeff); great-nephew Bennett Ward and great-nieces Beth Anne Ward and Mobley Grace Ward all of St. Simons Island.

A private inurnment service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Margaret's memory be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA, 31525.
