Born October 7, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to the late Maurice and Viola Gertrude M. Nelson, she was a retired florist from Crafts and Stuff on St. Simons Island. Mrs. Freeman was also an accomplished artist, homemaker and seamstress. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Freeman.
Survivors include her children, Kandis Freeman, Karen Babson and husband George, and Kathleen Wanke, two grandchildren, Deena Long and Timothy Wanke and wife Ashley, four great grandchildren, Bella Long, Taisha Wanke, Brayden Wanke, Brie Elle Wanke, and three sisters, Sharlene Graham, Paulett Evens, and Marie Jones.
