

Don attended and graduated from Glynn Academy High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years during the Korean War. After his military service, he built a long and dedicated career in the paper and pulp industry, where he worked for more than 30 years.
A faithful member of Taylors Church in Brunswick, Don lived a life grounded in service, discipline, and commitment. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on antique cars and playing golf—hobbies that reflected both his patience and attention to detail.
Those who knew him best remember Don as smart, funny, and often disciplined, with a steady presence and a quiet sense of humor that stayed with family and friends alike.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Linda Moore Jones; his children, David Jones (Candy), Donnie Jones, and Wanda McLauchin; his stepchildren, Melanie Hamilton (Wes), Roy Moore, Jr. (Gail), and Benjamin Moore; his grandchildren, Khalin, Brian, Aaron, Taylor, Christina, Damien, Kyly, Zoe, Payton, Paine, Presley, Ivy, Shay, and Rhett; and six great-grandchildren.
Don’s legacy of dedication to family, faith, and hard work will be cherished and remembered by all who loved him.
A memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 5th at Taylor’s Church in Brunswick, GA. Edo Miller and Sons funeral home have been entrusted with final arrangements.
