Mrs. Sullivan was a native and lifelong resident of Brunswick. She was a member of the 1950 Graduating Class of Glynn Academy and the Perry Business School. She was retired from Sears after 19 ½ years and a former employee of Southern Bell. She was a member of the Lioness’ Club of Brunswick, a member of the Troupe Creek Marina Fishing Club and was an avid fisherman. She was a past president of the Arco P.T.A. She was a member of the Arco United Methodist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Jesse Azariah and Edna Fender Moore. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Greene and Frances Courson. Survivors are her husband, Jack Sullivan of Brunswick, three daughters, Edna M. Sullivan, Patricia S. Moxley (Danny) and Julie J. Sullivan all of Brunswick, a sister-in-law, Helen Varnadoe of Brunswick , a brother-in-law, Sam Greene of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 O’clock Wednesday in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Chaplain Mary Malcom and Rev. Ron Register officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include: Wyman Varnadoe, Kenny Varnadoe, Terry Courson,
Ira Anderson, Richard Sullivan and Sonny Gerald Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers include: Dr. Duane Moores, Dr. William Grubb, Dr. Bruce Tripp, David Beckham, Danny Lovett and Glynn Academy Class of 1950.
The family request those wishing to make contributions may do so to Hospice of the Golden Isles or the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday night.
