At her request, no service will be held.
Mrs. Farrell is survived by her son and his spouse, Ken and Vonny (Rippy) Farrell, of St. Simons Island, GA; granddaughter and spouse, Justin and Kelly (Farrell) Crosby, of Cupertino, CA; grandson and spouse Colin and Ashley (Hull) Farrell, of Tallahassee, FL; and three great grandchildren Jack Crosby, Caroline Crosby, and Graham Farrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty nine years, Richard Stephen Farrell, and her daughter, Kathleen Marie Farrell.
Mrs. Farrell was a retired supervisor from the U. S. Post Office, but she most cherished her days as a letter carrier. Mary loved people, and always had a smile and a kind word for anyone. It would be hard to know that she had grown up in a family of seven children during the Great Depression, (as a newlywed) nursed her husband through five years of recuperation after a tragic accident, and that her eight year old daughter was killed when hit by a car.
This made Mary cherish and love her family and friends even more. Phone calls, cards, and letters full of love and happiness made their way into homes and hearts as she reached out to share her joy of life. Her smile, and her loving spirit, will be greatly missed by so many.
