Mary Edna Grassi

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edna on December 30th 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer this year.

Edna was born July 16th 1943 in the old Brunswick hospital to Augustus Pierce Miller and Eva Elizabeth Richmond. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Johnny Collins and Michael Collins, grandson John Christopher Collins, and husband Al Grassi.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Robin and Terry Teston of Brunswick, GA. Her grandchildren Stephen Tindall Jr. of Brunswick, GA, Kaitlin Dobay and her husband Matthew Dobay of Cocoa, FL, and Jon Michael Collins of Waynesville, GA. Her great grandchildren Lee Tindall of Brunswick, GA and Landon Collins of Waynesville, GA. Her daughter-in-law Stephanie Collins of Brunswick, GA. And her brother Terry Richmond and his wife Juanita of Missouri.

Edna attended Glynn Academy and Brunswick Junior College of Nursing. Edna was a compassionate person to anyone she met. She will be missed by many that knew her.

Edna was a business partner of Coastal Paperhanging and later Coastal Painting and Paperhanging retiring in 2005 and moving to Shellman Bluff. Over the years Edna built and had rental property in Glynn County and McIntosh County until her death. She was a determined person and took any challenge head on and meant to complete it one way or another.

At Edna's request there was be no viewing or visitation. A private family service with be at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to a charity of your choice.
