

Mary was born in Baltimore, MD on January 9, 1941. She resided with her parents, Charles Kraus (deceased), and Mary Kraus (deceased) in Perry Hall, MD until her marriage to her husband, Robert, in February 1963. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph Kraus, John Kraus, and Annette Kraus Loradith.
Mary is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; her children, Victoria Moore (Barry) and Thomas McCaughey (Courtney); 4 beloved grandchildren, Barry, Robert, Brittany, and Ansley; 4 great-grandchildren, Jamieson, Landon, Juliette and Charlotte.
Mary was retired from the Sea Island Company where she was the Office Coordinator at the Golf Learning Center. A position that suited her well because of her love of golf. She was also previously employed with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in their Congressional and Media Affairs office. She also previously worked for the U.S. Customs Bureau Office of Training.
Mary always made a loving home for her family. Her family always came first to her. She was an avid Golfer and would be ready to go out to play at a moment’s notice.
A memorial Mass will be held for Mary on Saturday, May 10th, at 9:30 am at St. William Catholic Church, St. Simons Island, GA.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.
