

Miss Jones was a native of Nahunta, Georgia and has been a resident of St. Simons Island for the past 35 years. She was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1998, and employed at McDonald's on St. Simons Island.
She was a local artist on St. Simons and loved music, dancing, telling jokes and riddles and reading her Bible. She was a member of the St. Simons Baptist Church and the L.J.L. Sunday School Class of St. Simons Baptist Church.
Survivors are her parents, John and Linda Jones of St. Simons, two sisters, Rebecca Jones and Cynthia Jones both of Brunswick, a nephew, Phillip Taylor Kidney of Brunswick, aunts, Kathy Jones ofSt. Simons, Gail Herrin of Nahunta, Ga., Sandra Schmitt of Hinesville, Ga., Vickie Chesser of Nahunta, Ga., aunts and uncles, Bud and Ruth Jones of Nahunta, Ga., and Barbara and Marlin Rubert of Alexandria, La., and several nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of life services will be held at 2 PM Saturday 5/26/12 in the First Baptist Church of St. Simons Island with Dr. Felix Haynes and Dr. Bill Henderson officiating. There will be a recepetion held in the Social hall of the Church after the servces at 2 PM.
Active pallbearers will be: Josh Williams, Jon Kent, Bob Kent, Tripp Herrin, Brad Herrin and Dean Horne. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Phillip Taylor Kidney, Phillip Kidney, Amy Kidney Bullard, Charlie and E. J. Williams, Amy Baldwin, Morris Kent, Stacey Ricco, Cliff and Debbie Pease, Ken and Carlotta Tollison, Jackson and Emwynn Smith, Dr. Wade and Rosemary Strickland, Dr. john Henry, Maureen Bower, Dotti Tulley, Gloria Valera, Trent Cohen, Rena Henderson, Will Henderson, Maryanne Henderson, Tommy and Nancy Lee, Dennis and Jan Waters, Linda Parks, Barbara Mueller, Brad and Margaret Butler, Nichole Hamilton, Paige Byars Barger, Traci Carmichael and member of the L.J.L. Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of St. Simons.
The family request in lieu of flowers contributions to the First Baptist Church of St. Simons or the Glynn Art Association. The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Friday night.
