Matthew Joseph Massa, Jr.

Matthew was a native of Brooklyn, New York and attended New York Community College where he majored in the culinary arts. He enjoyed baking and made beautifully decorated cakes. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was stationed at Glynco from 1969 to 1973. He worked at Norwich Street Pawn Shop for 26 years then went to work for Wal Mart where he worked in the Sporting Goods department for 8 years prior to his illness. Matthew enjoyed going on cruises, being outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. His indoor activities included watching TV and playing games on the computer.

He is survived locally by his mother, Christina Massa and his sister, Jacqueline Massa. Also surviving are two uncles, one aunt and several first and second cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Joseph Massa, Sr.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
