Maxine Clemons Asbell, 66, of Brunswick, Georgia passed away on January 16, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Maxine was born January 1, 1957 in Brunswick, Georgia. She lived there most of her life with the exception of traveling with her family which was military. She worked as a waitress at Shoney’s and then became a homemaker. Maxine was a member of Sterling Baptist Church. She loved studying the scriptures, spending time with her family, and her precious dog Skippy.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald (Charlotte) and Minnie Clemons. She is survived by her daughters: Candy (Eric) Bennett of Brunswick, Georgia and Crystal (Nikolaus) Stoyanoff of Brunswick, Georgia. She has three siblings: Terry Grantham (sister) of Brunswick, Georgia, Edie England (Sister) of Augusta, Georgia, and Russell (Vicki) Clemons (brother) of Wichita, Kansas. Grandchildren include Justin (Kayla) Dykstra, Kira Stoyanoff, Carissa Stoyanoff, Brianna Stoyanoff, and Destiny Domzalski. Avionna Dykstra and Adalina Dykstra were her great granddaughters. She is also survived by several loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, from 5:00 until 7:00PM with the memorial service on Saturday, January 21, at 11 AM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a reception following the service at Northside Baptist Church, 935 Chapel Crossing Rd. Brunswick, GA. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
