Maxine Johnson Price, 79, of Brunswick, departed this life Thursday, November 29, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Chapel with Brother Danny Webster officiating. Interment will follow in in Palmetto Cemetery with Kevin Hall, Justin Hall, Hunter Hall, Justin Thrower, Jody Conley, Trey Smith, Corey Geiger, and Drew Thrower serving as pallbearers.
Born April 15, 1939 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Herschel V. Johnson and Nettie Mae Johnson Todd, she attended Glynn Academy and was a lifelong resident of Glynn County. Mrs. Price worked for 20 years with Southern Bell and 22 years at FLETC as switchboard operator. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Brunswick. She enjoyed watching her great-grandson play football at Glynn Academy, and was an avid football fan. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Estes Price, two daughters, Debra Ann Brewer and Vicki Lynn Price, two sisters, Nita Huggins and Patricia Joseph, a brother, Jerry Johnson, and two great grandchildren, Emaleigh Ann Hall and Sawyer Austin Conley.
Survivors include a daughter, Jaimi Hall and husband James of Brunswick, four grandchildren, Robbie Thrower, Kevin Hall, Justin Hall and Tiffany Hall, six great grandchildren, Justin Thrower, Hunter Hall, Drew Thrower, Kinsley Hall, Haley Hall,and Hannah Hall, a great great grandchild, Hayden Thrower, two sisters, Doris Andrews of Brunswick, and Diane Key of Talladega, AL, a half-brother, Michael Todd of Brunswick, several nieces and nephews.
