Born on September 30, 1927, in Brunswick, Georgia, Melba was a lifelong resident of the community she loved and proudly called home. She attended Glynn Academy. Throughout her 98 years, she built a life centered on faith, family, and the Brunswick community she dearly loved.
Melba was a faithful member of Trinity Christian Church, where she faithfully worshiped for many years. Her faith, quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard V. Tyre, and her parents, John Earl McGraw and Valda McGraw.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carolyn Ann Staszak (Roy), Cheryl Annette Agricola (Joseph), Linda Gail Mauney (Benjamin), and Steven Leonard Tyre; her sister, Evelyn Woodard; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with extended family members who will forever cherish her memory.
A graveside funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Melba M. Tyre will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Palmetto Cemetery.
Pastor Danny Stilwell will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers are Roy J. Staszak, Jr., Gregory Staszak, Michael Rowe, Kev Hadaway, Jeff Hunt, and McCall Dixon.
Her memory will be treasured always by those who were blessed to know and love her.
