Michael Lee Rogers

Mike was a Glynn Academy, class of 1977, graduate. He was presently employed at Weyerhaeuser in Port Wentworth and formerly worked at Postin Products and LCP Chemicals in Brunswick. He was a member of Blythe Island Baptist Church and enjoyed singing with the Undone Gospel Quartet. Mike loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his 3 year old granddaughter, Shelby. He was an Eagle Scout. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Steven Gregory Rogers.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Mussara Rogers of Brunswick; two daughters, Adna “Addie” Elizabeth Price (John) of Lexington, SC and Adrianne Rogers Prescott (Richard) of Brunswick; two granddaughters, Shelby Elizabeth and Shauna Jean Price of Lexington, SC; his parents, Murray Lee and Doris Elizabeth Rogers of Brunswick; a brother, Jerry Rogers (Leigh) of Antioch, CA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 19, 2016 during the hours of 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Blythe Island Baptist Church. Reverend Tim Brown will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service in Chapel Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Richard “Dickie” Mitchell, James “Stevie” Stephens, Rudy Peeples, Thomas C. Cowen, Jack Aspinwall and Jonathan Mussara.

Mike will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
