My thoughts and prayers are with the Waters family during this time. I counted Mike as not only someone I worked for but a dear and close friend. Friday's will not be the same walking in and seeing his smiling face or his calls when he needed to find something I put away. I will always remember the day I walked in with his Birthday hand gun cake and how thankful his was. I can truly say I will miss Mike Walters. Ann I am so sorry and I pray in the days ahead God will give you the comfort you need.

So sad to hear of Mike's passing. I can still see his smiling face walking down the halls at GA. May our memories keep him alive and young forever.
And may his family find peace of heart.

I am terribly saddened to learn that Mr. Mike has passed away. I was out of town last week for my Uncle's memorial in Florida. How I wish I would have known that Mike was in Hospice, so I could have gone to see him. I was in the clogging group that his wife Ms. Betty directed, and knew and loved her and Mr. Mike (as we called both of them) dearly. I will miss our lunches and the times he called me for help on his computer since Betty passed away in 2010. I pray for his sister, Ann, and her family, for his brother in law, Ron and his family. And for all the other family members i did not know personally. May God's peace surround you all during this time.

Mike, it was a pleasure knowing and serving with you in the 224th. No matter where we deployed, you always new where to find a tall glass of ice cold sweet tea. Curtis Taylor [Baxley,Ga.]

I shall always remember you and the good times we had while serving in the 224th. You were always a true friend to all and had a great-big teddy bear heart for all those who knew you. You will be greatly missed my friend.....greatly missed. Rest in Peace.

I will sorely miss our weekly phone calls. We relived the many great memories on the rifle range. Mike drove the bus for the Air Guard team. The Air Guard won the Ga. State championships three years. Then shot for Georgia at the Nationals in Little Rock. He always seemed to look on the lighter side of any situation.
My prayers and sympathy for the family and friends.
