

Mike was a life-long resident of Brunswick and graduated from Glynn Academy in 1977. He worked at his family’s business, Wells Produce Company, for over 40 years. He also worked as a sales representative for Suncoast Paper for 8 years and as the area manager for HumiTEC, Inc. for 8 years. He was a member of Glyndale Baptist Church. Mike loved to fish, camp, hike and waterski, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed terribly.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Bessie Wells; his father-in-law, Arthur Martin; grandparents, Howard and Nola Wells and Leon and Claudine Bland; and a niece, Katie Wells.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria Martin Wells; his children, Michelle Marisol Wells (Christopher) and Matthew Martin Wells; his mother-in-law, Mary Theresa Martin; two brothers, Terry Wells (Kari) and Jay Wells; a sister, Kay Flynt (David); a special nephew, Patrick Wells; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm followed by a Rosary at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Wells, Keith Paseur, Michael Merritt, Chandler Pelky, Seth Flynt, Tommy Simpson and Dustin Corbitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Banks, Dr. Abraham Cheong and staff, Dr. Timothy Jamieson and staff, Nurse Shelly Erdmier and all of the oncology staff at Southeast Georgia Health Systems Brunswick Campus. Interment will follow at Chapel Park Cemetery.
