Naomi D. Story, 90, of Brunswick, went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at SEGHS Brunswick Campus. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Lakeside Community Church with Pastor Don Combs officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with David Aspinwall, Matthew Leipheimer, Wyatt Paul, Jeff Chapman, Mark Stambaugh, and Dexter Kirkland serving as pallbearers.
Naomi was born in Atkinson County, Georgia to the late Willie and Annie Douglas. She had been a resident of Glynn County for the past 70 years and was a member of Lakeside Community Church. Naomi came to Brunswick in 1951 and began her career as a hairdresser. She met her precious husband, Seaborn, and they married in 1956. They have two daughters, Debbie and Lori. She loved spending time with her family, crocheting, playing cards, and was an avid Braves fan. She loved to travel and enjoyed so many adventures. She was always ready to try something new. Most of all, Naomi loved the Lord. She was a woman of God. She believed in prayer and was dedicated to praying for those in need. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Seaborn Story, and two sisters, Jean Kirkland, and Mavis McKinnon.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Story of Valdosta, Lori Aspinwall (Jack) of Brunswick, and, two grandchildren, David Aspinwall (Anjelica), and Taylor Leipheimer (Matthew), two great grandchildren, Lilly and Finley, several nieces and nephews.
