

Neville Brian Christie died peacefully at home on Saint Simons’ Island on June 17th, 2016 after an extended illness that he fought with amazing tenacity. His wife, Ann and daughter, Lee- Ann were at his side.
He was preceded in death by his son Michael Brian Christie in January 1987 and his parents George and Ethel Christie.
He is survived by his wife, Ann and daughter, Lee Ann and their 3 grandchildren, Jessica and her husband, Will Morrel, Michelle Lewandowski, and David Lewandowski. Neville is also survived by his brother, Graham and sister-in-law Brenda and their three children, Tracey, Kevin, and Sandy and his many friends around the world.
Neville was born in Durban, South Africa on May 7th, 1938. He attended Durban High School in South Africa, played rugby and was on the athletic team. Later, he articled at an accounting firm and then joined Mobil Oil. He was transferred frequently with his family to many places within South Africa, as well as Zimbabwe and Paris, France. In 1981, the family moved to Charlotte, N.C. and remained there for 35 years. Neville joined up with a friend and became a Founding Partner of Morningstar Mini- storage and the Executive Vice President.
Neville and Ann have travelled extensively in Africa and Europe during their 56 years of marriage. His great sense of humor, kindness and contagious smile will be missed. Rest in peace my darling husband.
A Remembrance of Life Celebration will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Quail Hollow Club Pavilion, 3700 Gleneagles RD, Charlotte, NC 28210.
