

Otis was born in Vidalia, Georgia, and was one of four children born to parents Frank Fuller White and Annie Lou Williams White. After high school, Otis enlisted in the US Army where he proudly served our country. Otis was a man’s man. He enjoyed watching boxing and loved to fish but his first love was country, bluegrass, and gospel music. He played guitar and performed with friends and family at numerous venues including the VFW for 19 years as well as Otis’s Country. Otis was a hard worker. He worked as a business agent for the Painters Local 1169 where he later retired. Otis will be remembered as a loving, devoted father and grandfather, and will be missed by family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Bertha Ethel Rozier White; two sons, Richard Michael White and Stephen Ray White and his siblings, Hubert Thigpen, Frankie Lou O’Neal and William Elmer White, Sr. Otis is survived by five children, Deborah Potter (Larry), Charles Lamar White (Linda), Teresa Ross (Leo), Johnny Frank White (Angel) and Donald Lamar White (Shannon); two sisters, Ruth Wommack and Ruby Knabb. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Gilbert Wommack officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery.
