With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Pamela Netherton, a devoted wife, loving mother, and the very best “Mimi” her grandchildren could have ever known. Pamela was born and raised in Huntington, Long Island, where she later met her future husband, George, while commuting to Manhattan on the Long Island Rail Road. She was a graduate of the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising and held executive positions at both Bonwit Teller and Bloomingdale’s.
After moving to Marietta, Georgia in 1984, Pam spent the next 15 years as a dedicated mother, raising their two daughters and volunteering at their schools. She later pursued a career in real estate, eventually becoming an Owner-Partner in the Keller Williams franchise in East Cobb County, where she helped grow the business to more than 200 agents.
Pam always displayed elegance and grace. She was classy, poised, and effortlessly warm. Her smile could light up a room. She loved shopping for her grandchildren and made sure they were always the best-dressed kids in town. Pam genuinely loved people and made friends everywhere she went.
She is survived by her husband, George B. Netherton IV, her partner in life for over 53 years. She was a loving and proud mother to Tara Netherton and to Kate and Adam Rodgers. As “Mimi,” she was pure joy to her beloved grandchildren — Isabel, Luke, Caroline, and Anna Grace Rodgers — who were the light of her life. She also held a special place in her heart for her favorite granddog, Paisley, the Newfoundland who brought her endless smiles.
Pam faced cancer the same way she lived her life: with determination, courage, and grit. Her resilience was nothing short of inspiring. Though our hearts are broken, we carry forward her light — her kindness, strength, grace, and elegance. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so fiercely and in the countless lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
