Patricia Markwell Clay, “Pat”, 85, passed away peacefully at Marsh’s Edge on April, 24, 2015. Pat was born on August 31, 1929 to the late Earl and Amelia Markwell in Louisville, KY. She graduate from Duke University in 1951 and later that year married the late Ryburn G. Clay, Jr., “Pete”.
Pat was a loving mother and wife. She was a member of the Atlanta Junior League and on the Alter Guild of Christ Church Frederica among many other activities. She loved to play tennis, travel, read and do Pilates.
Pat is survived by her three children, Ryburn G. Clay III and his wife Imogene; Mark Clay and his wife Carol; Zaida Clay Harris and her husband Phil Harris; and her granddaughters Katy Harris and Lexi Harris.
Funeral Services will be held at Christ Church Frederica on Wednesday, April 29th at 2 pm with a reception to follow in the Parish house. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Christ Church Frederica or The Alzheimer’s Association. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
