Patricia was born August 29, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of the late Michael Quinlan and the late Dorothy Jones Quinlan. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kevin Garrity and a sister, Theresa Quinlan.
Patricia graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School in Brooklyn, New York. She attended Hunter College in New York. She later obtained her Respiratory Therapist degree from North Virginia Community College and enjoyed her career of helping others. She was presently attending Kennesaw State University majoring in Fine Arts. Patricia was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Acworth, Georgia. Since she and her husband moved to the island, she had been attending St. William Catholic Church.
Left to cherish Patricia’s memories are her husband, Thomas F. Garrity; two sons, Chris Garrity (Vanessa) of Acworth, GA and Scott Garrity (Christy) of Ashburn, Virginia; five wonderful grandchildren, London Garrity (Megan), Christian Garrity, Aislinn Garrity, Sierra Garrity, and Kael Garrity; one precious great grandchild, Auriella Rose Garrity; a sister, Dorothy McDonnell (Joe) of New Jersey; and a loving cousin Darajean Dunne of New York. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Patricia was an accomplished artist in media oil, water coloring, pastel, and calligraphy painting. She was also an avid golfer. She loved playing bridge, photography, and traveling. She experienced the pleasure of visiting multiple countries especially in the European Nations. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends. Patricia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends between 6:00 – 8:00 Pm Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, Georgia. A funeral mass to honor Patricia’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. Williams Catholic Church with Father Joey Buencamino officiating.
