Patsy S. Hamby, 69, of St. Simons Island, died Monday, September 10, 2012 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. Graveside rites will be held at 11AM Friday, September 14, 2012 in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
Born December 19, 1942 in Marietta, Georgia to the late Mac and Bess H. Stidham, Mrs. Hamby was a self employed home care sitter. She was a graduate of Campbell High in Smyrna, Georgia and was Baptist in faith. She had been a resident of Glynn County for most of her life and did volunteer work for numerous organizations.
Survivors include two sons, Samuel David Hamby and Joseph Daniel Hamby both of St. Simons Island, two sisters, Sue Pierce and husband Robert of Kennesaw and Dolly Thomas and husband Brent of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews.
