

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Christian Renewal Church in Brunswick with the Reverend William Ligon officiating. The visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Active Pallbearers will be Brian Vaughn, James Lyon, Rick O’Quinn, Ronnie Wood, J. B. Abbott, Jr., Barrett Evans, and Patrick Standley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake Blankenship, Rylee Abbott, Rusty and Carrie Poole, Carl Self, Carolyn Cooey, Chris Boggs, Pat Hoyt, Mitch Strickland, Jeff Carlin, Joy Ministries of Christian Renewal, Hospice of the Golden Isles, and the Card Ministry of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Vaughn was a native of Waycross, Georgia, but had resided in Brunswick since 1966. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond Eugene Vaughn for 60 years. She was also the daughter of the late James and Evelyn Davis Lyon, Jr. She was the co-founder and co-owner of Port City Body Shop. She was a devoted member of Christian Renewal Church where she served on the finance committee. She and Gene were faithful servants together in preparing communion for many years. Mrs. Vaughn enjoyed spending time with her family, helping others, and landscaping her yard.
Mrs. Vaughn is survived by three daughters, Diane O’Quinn (Rick), Genie Stillman, Julie Wood ( Ronnie) all of Brunswick, GA; one son, Brian Vaughn ( Julie) of Brunswick, GA; grandchildren, April O’Quinn Evans ( Barrett), Megan Standley ( Patrick), Blake Blankenship, J. B. Abbott, Jr. ( Melanie), Jennifer Abbott, Jennifer Johnson, Alicia Vaughn, Brooke Vaughn, Joette Turner ( Sam),and Luke Wood ( Kelly); seven great-grandchildren, Ellie Standley, Rylee Abbott, Lindsey Abbott, Emma Abbott, Isabella Grace Wood, Adeline Wood, and Nathan Turner; brother and sister-in-law, James and Janice Lyon; brother-in-law, William “Bill” Vaughn; sister-in-law, Betty Howard; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Gene Sowell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Faye and James Clark. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. However, her family will have many fond memories to cherish forever.
The family wants to thank Hospice of the Golden Isles for their compassion and loving care of Pat for over three years.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be in Pat’s memory to Christian Renewal Church or Hospice of the Golden Isles.
