Paul E. Bodamer Sr.

He was born July 20, 1935 to Paul Edgar Bodamer and Ann (Evans) Bodamer in Sharon, PA. Paul was educated in Sharon and went on to attend The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. On November 24, 1966 he married Barbara M. McNally. Together they raised 6 children and built a successful Podiatry practice, in which Paul served at his Brunswick and Hinesville offices for over 50 years. Paul was active in the Jaycees and Scouting as a young man. Additionally, Paul loved to be on the water and in his garage, restoring automobiles. As an active member of the Episcopal Church he served on the vestries of St. David’s, The Church of the Holy Nativity and St. Andrews’ as well as singing in the choir and serving as a lay reader.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Bodamer, daughter Donna Gordon, son James Bodamer, daughter Laura (Mike) East, son Brett (Debbie) Bodamer, Paul, Jr. (Patricia) Bodamer; brother Donald K. (Gail) Wiseman; his grandchildren Billy Gordon, Chris Gordon, Jennifer (Rob) Child, Elizabeth Bowen, Brandie Bodamer-Kenny, Christina Bodamer, Alexia Bodamer, Meghan Bodamer, Brett Allen Bodamer, Stella Koppe Bodamer; and his great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His parents, grandparents, son Lawrence Baker and grandson Dalton East predeceased him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Darien, GA. Interment will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery. The family will receive friends before and after the service at their home in Darien.
