Payton Woodworth Mann

Payton was a graduate of Glynn Academy. He earned a BS in Geological Engineering from the University of Mississippi and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Payton loved to hunt and to fish. He had recently moved to Norfolk where he took a position as Senior Geotechnical Engineer at BB & E Engineering and Consulting.

Payton was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Boyce Mann, maternal grandfather, Adrian “Buster” Fountain and paternal grandfather, Lynn Senter Mann.

He is survived by his mother, Lawanda Jean Mann of Waverly; a sister and her husband, Bristen Drew Getz and Chandler Westcott Getz of Okinawa, Japan; a nephew, Erik Anthony Getz and a niece, Reagan Leline Getz, both of Okinawa; Maternal Grandmother and her husband, Tanya Robinson and Dr. Daniel Robinson of Wallace, North Carolina and maternal grandmother, Rebecca Drew Mann of Lillington, North Carolina.

An informal gathering for close friends and family will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
