Philip Anthony Olson

Phil was born on June 23rd, 1959 in Cheltenham, England. He is predeceased by his mother, Joan Casserley Olson Redditt, and father, Gary Olson. Phil attended Boone High School in Orlando, Florida. After graduating high school, would begin his life’s work as an aviation carpenter. Phil was a master craftsman and woodworker, a true artist. He shared his talents and mentored many, in a proud career that took him all over the world. Phil retired from Gulfstream Aerospace in 2023. He was passionate about his family, the outdoors, and supporting our troops and veterans.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Phil knew that he was a genuine ‘one of a kind’ soul. His humor, generosity, kindness, fortitude, sense of adventure, and depth will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him. Phil’s intense love for his family and friends will remain in our hearts. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Olson Ratliff (husband, Benjamin, son, Robert “Buddy”, and daughter Collins). Siblings include Siobhan Olson Faulkner (husband Eric), Stuart Olson (wife, Jessica, and daughter, Cheyne), Sean Olson, and Brian Olson (wife, Sara, and daughters Wyla and Keeley). Phil’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

Contributions in memory of Phil can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. There will be a Celebration of Life held on Sunday, April 7th, 2024 from 2-4pm at Toucan’s Ale House located at 2450 Perry Lane Rd, Brunswick, GA 31525. We look forward to celebrating his life in a style that best suited him. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend this celebration.
