Rachel Melinda Barber

Rachel Melinda Barber, 62, of Brunswick entered into Heaven’s Gates on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Melinda, as she was affectionately known, was the daughter of the late Jimmy Lee Allen and the late Edna Jean Peacock. Melinda resided in Brunswick for most of her life. She enjoyed cooking and traveling when she was able. She also enjoyed spending time on the Beach. She loved her family whole heartedly and treasured every moment spent with them. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed by all. Left to cherish Melinda’s many fond memories are her devoted husband of 42 years, Jeffery “J.C.” Barber; A Daughter, Meagan Bryant and her husband Wayne; a granddaughter, Cynthia Barton; two great grandchildren and one forthcoming; one brother, Ervin Lee Allen; three nieces, Cynara B Olgsby, Samesa R Walden, and Kathryn L Allen; three brother-in-laws, Howard “Mike” Barber (Faye); Fred Barber (Linda), and Robert Crawford (Stacey). Numerous cousins from South Carolina and Georgia also survive. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, 4PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Diana Key officiating.
