Ramona was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Roy Gene Hanna and Georgia Lee Howard Hanna. Due to Mr. Hanna’s military career, the family moved frequently, and came to Glynn County in the 70’s. Ramona was a graduate of Brunswick High School and worked at the Captain’s Table, Friedman’s Jewelry and RGL Associates, Inc. She was a crafty person who could make just about anything. She especially enjoyed shopping, traveling with friends and family and catering weddings. Ramona truly had a servant’s heart and was eager to help anyone. She loved entertaining and having family over for the holidays, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Her father, Roy Gene Hanna and her husband, Jackie Ray Boyet, preceded Ramona in death.
She is survived by her mother, Georgia Hanna of Brunswick; a sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Keith Durrance of Hortense, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Todd Rocha of Brunswick; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Emily Boyet of Ponchatoula, LA; and five grandchildren, Evan and Emily Rocha of Brunswick and Karsen, Jack and Emma Kate Boyet of Ponchatoula.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Immediately following visitation, a service to celebrate Ramona's life will be held in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Guffey officiating.
