Ray Herman Mullikin, age 85, passed away peacefully as he was surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 6, 2018. A Memorial Service will be at The First Baptist Church in Pendleton, SC on Saturday, December 15th at 1:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow in the Church's Reception Hall.
Ray is survived by his wife Charlotte Broome Mullikin, 4 children residing in Metro Atlanta, GA: Laura Mullikin, Marie Mullikin Camprini, Brad Mullikin and Regan Mullikin (Angie), 2 grandchildren also residing in Metro Atlanta, GA: Taylor Mullikin and Christopher Camprini, and 3 siblings: Jack Mullkin (Martha) residing in Boiling Springs, SC, Betty Mullikin Stanley residing in Charlotte, NC, and Bill Mullikin (Mikal) residing in Anderson, SC.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Lillian Mullikin of Pendleton SC, his siblings Mary Mullikin of Fants Grove, SC, Clifton Harvey Mullikin, Jr. of Pendleton SC, and Dorsilla Mullikin Huff of Spartanburg, SC.
Ray was a member of St Mark’s Episcopal Church in Brunswick, Ga, a veteran of the Korean War, studied at Clemson University, and was employed in the construction and insurance industries. He most cherished his position as a starter at Sea Island Golf Course on St. Simons Island during his retirement years.
He will be remembered as the most wonderful husband, father, friend and avid Clemson fan.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Marcia Certain, Dr. Bill Grubbs, Dr Stephen Chitty, and the ER staff at Southeast Georgia Health System for making Ray's last days so special for him and his family.
