Richard Edward Casey, 66, of St. Simons Island, departed this life Thursday, August 1, 2024 at SGHS Brunswick. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Fr. Matthew Homes officiating.
Born March 29, 1958 in Greenville, North Carolina to the the late Thomas Edward Casey and the late Edith Lattimore Tayloe, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1976 and The Citadel Class of 1980. Mr. Casey was a former manager with Chick Fil A. and was of the Orthodox Faith. He enjoyed walking his dog, reading, and music. Mr. Casey also volunteered at The Manna House in Brunswick.
Survivors include his son, Shaughn Casey and wife Meredith of Colorado Springs, CO, three grandchildren, Samantha Casey, Jocelyn Casey, and Eleanor Casey, and two step sisters, Wanda Hudson and husband Dennis of Grifton, NC, and Deborah Rich of Greenville, NC.
