He was born June 12, 1950, and lived in Brunswick all his life. Mr. Lockhart graduated from Glynn Academy in 1969 and worked for Hercules for 40 years before retiring in 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Lockhart; daughter, Emily Lockhart; son, Matthew Bret Lockhart; stepdaughters, Jennifer Corley and Karen Corley Adams (John Adams); grandsons, Justin and Logan Adams; sister-in-law, Hazel Lockhart; nephews, Jay and Rick Lockhart.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Mavis and Floyd Lockhart; brother, Mickey Lockhart; sister, Brenda Boone; sons, Richard Jason Lockhart and Jason Brice Lockhart; and nephew, Byron Lockhart.
A celebration of his life will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
