Robert James Henry

Robert James Henry of St. Simons Island passed away April 5, at Hospice of the Golden Isles surrounded by his family. Bob was predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Frances Joyce Henry.

He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on May 29, 1922 to the late John William Henry and Anna Code Henry. He was predeceased by brother, John Murray Henry and sister, Ann Marie Ferguson.

He is survived by his four daughters, Susan Kahle (Jack), Roberta Henry, Jane Mulderig (Robert) and Mary Young (Paul) and six grandchildren, Kaitlin Mulderig, Meghan Stanton (Michael), Drew Mulderig, James Mulderig, Henry Young and Charlotte Young.

Bob was a proud World War II veteran, having served aboard the USS Cabot in the South Pacific. He remained in lifelong contact with the men he served with.

Bob was a loyal and devoted son, husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who had the extreme good fortune to have ever crossed his path.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12th at 11:00 a.m. At St William Catholic Church, 2300 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, Georgia.
