Dear Silva family, it is so heart breaking to lose another long time St. Francis Xavier friend although I have moved in with my daughter and her family on St. Simons Island due to my own illness. I have missed Rose's comical shares on face book. I know Rose also as a teacher of my children. I remember when she and John attended Armstrong to finish their education to become teachers at St. Francis Xavier School. Rose was so talented in many ways. It was easy to know she was a strong and intelligent woman My last memory of Rose is seeing her helping John up to receiving Holy Communion with a smile on her face. I loved sitting in the first pew first not to have distractions during Mass and watching friends receive Holy Communion. I know your parents have earned their wings as Special Angels and will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Love to all, Peggy Eades

She has your smile rose and she has a big heart of her father and the beautiful eyes of both of you.

I never had Rose as a teacher, but John taught me in several classes at St. Francis Xavier School and coached me in youth football over at the Brunswick's City Recreation Center in the early 1980s. They both made important contributions to SFXS and their students' lives. In recent years when I would return home to visit family, I enjoyed seeing Rose and John at Mass. May they both rest now together in the peace of Christ.

I couldn't believe it when I read the news of Mrs Silva's passing... it feels like it was just yesterday that Mr Silva passed. She was a no-nonsense woman who saw straight through you whether you liked it or not! Loud and in your face, unapologetically brash and gruff, there was no beating around the bush with her! But though her exterior may have been prickly, she was all heart and super supportive and optimistic. I didn't realize how much she meant to me until just now. Rest in peace, Mrs. Silva, be reunited with Mr. Silva and live h apilly ever after... you've surely earned it!!!

Mrs. Silva was one the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She had a passion for teaching and a true love of children. I will forever remember being one of her many Charlie Tunas. 25 years later and I Continue to think of her daily. Praying for her sweet family! We were all so lucky to have known this one of a kind precious lady!
