Roy was born in Ware County February 21, 1945 to the late Le Roy Bennett, and the late Bessie Williams Bennett. He attended Ware county high school, and had been a resident of Waynesville, GA for the past seven years. Roy was care taker of Altama Plantation for many years. He loved spending time coaching the little league sports. Roy was an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener, and gun collector. He leaves many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
Roy is survived by his wife, Cindy Bennett of Waynesvile, GA; son Timothy Roy (Pam) Bennett of Cartersville, GA; daughter Paula Price of Offerman, GA; son Roy E. Bennett, Jr. of Waynesville, GA; and daughter Robyn ( Garrett) Wiggins of Brunswick, GA; sister Anna (John) Rougas. Roy also leaves behind nine grandchildren: nine great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Roy was preceded in death by; Brother David Clark; three sisters Margie Clark, Joyce Clark and Linda Clark.

Family will receive friends the hours 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, the 3rd of October 2019 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave., in Brunswick.
A memorial service is to be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, the 4th of October 2019 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home where Pastor Bill Manning is to officiate.
The family has requested that in lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Golden Isles 1692 Glynco Parkway Brunswick, Georgia 31525, or to the Wound Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville, and Florida32256
