Roy Lance McRorie Sr.

Mr. McRorie was a native of Denton, Georgia and served in the United States Army from 1958 through 1960 and Army Reserve from 1961 through 1964 as a paratrooper. He received an honorable discharge as an E5 Technical Sergeant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Earl Estridge McRorie and Eugenia Wooten McRorie and siblings the late Carlos William McRorie and Carlton McRorie.

Survivors are his wife, Rosalyn Cole McRorie of Brunswick, a son, Roy Lance McRorie, Jr. (Lance) & wife Maureen of Roswell, Ga., sisters, Wanda Bookout and husband Marvin of West Green, Ga., Lynda Ogden of Surrency, Ga., Brenda Kennedy and husband Rusty of St. Simons Island, Ga., and brother, Elbert McRorie of West green, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM Saturday April 23, 2011 in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Edward S. Williams and Rev. G. Bobby Hall officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Ron Adams, David Capps, William W. “Buck” Crosby, Mike Gibbs, Carl L. Hamilton, and Frank Willis.
