Ruby graduated from Commercial High School in Atlanta and was last employed as a Legal Secretary for Jones, Day Attorney at Law in Atlanta, Ga. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smyrna, Georgia and Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed needlepointing and doing genealogy during her spare time. Ruby was the author of the book titled Slate and Carroll Families.
Ruby leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
Ruby is survived by her son, Gary Moore and his wife, Shirley of St. Simons Island, her daughter, Linda Igarta of Seatac, Washington and eight grandchildren including Jessica Moore Williams of Brunswick, Nicholas Moore of Nashville, TN, John Moore III, Christopher Moore, and Sharon Barone. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Ruby is proceeded in death by her father, James Wesley Haley, mother Ruby May Slate, husband John Frank Moore and 2 sons, John Frank Moore Jr., and David Roger Moore and by her sister, Elizabeth Swinney.
A graveside service is to be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at Westview Cemetery, 1680 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW., Atlanta GA 30310
