Born on January 21,1950 in Jesup, Ga., Geri lived a life defined by dedication, integrity, and love for her family. Throughout a distinguished career as Health and Safety Manager for BE&K Construction and Engineering, she earned the respect of colleagues through hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. On Saturday, Geri could be found dressed in red & black cheering on her favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs.
Above all, Geri was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, whose greatest joy came from her family. She cherished time spent with loved ones, offering unwavering support, wisdom, and kindness that will be remembered for generations.
Geri is survived by her brother, Thomas Smith. Her beloved son and daughter, Perry Smith Rhonda and Tami Ann Calderone Phill. Her grandchildren, Samantha Walczyk, Bryant Smith and Nicholas Calderone. Her special Niece, Angela McCormick (Mark), also numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rexford & Millie Smith and her siblings, Ann Wedincamp, David Smith and Rex Smith
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered compassion, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4 at 9:30am to 10:00am followed by a funeral Mass from 10:00am to 11:00am @St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1120 Newcastle St., Brunswick, Ga., Interment to follow At Jesup City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Geri’s wishes were to make a donation to Hospice of the Golden Isle Brunswick Ga, if desired.
Though deeply missed, Geri’s legacy of love, dedication, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
