

Mrs. Collins was born July 18, 1944 in Waycross, Georgia the daughter of the late Ronald G. and Kitie Taylor. She was a graduate of Glynn Academy and lived most of her adult life in Brunswick. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Collins Sr. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Collins was a member of Brookman Community Church. She also helped at the Amity House for battered women and children.
Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald G. and Kitie Taylor; her husband, Robert L. Collins Sr; a daughter, Robyn Herndon; and a daughter-in-law, Sherri Collins. She is survived by her son, Robbie Collins of Hinesville, GA; four grandchildren, Christopher Herndon, Shane Herndon, Sean Collins (Gina), and Shelby Collins; two precious great grandchildren, Abigale Herndon and Nhamia Stoddard; one sister, Linda Taylor; and one brother, Rodney Taylor (Yvonne).
Mrs. Collins enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed the time spent with her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid reader. Mrs. Collins took great pride in cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed needle pointing and sewing. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
A Celebration of Life service will be held to honor her life at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Brookman Community Church. Brother J.C. Carter will officiate the service.
