Stacy Renee Johnson Hames

Stacy Renee Hames of Brunswick died Sunday, December 8th at home after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Born in Portsmouth VA on November 5, 1966 to the late Rodney and Effie Johnson, Stacy resided in Virginia, Connecticut and Groveton NH prior to moving to Brunswick. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1985 and completed her Associate Degree in Radiology at Brunswick Jr. College, graduating in 1987. Stacy worked at Southeast Georgia Health System for the past 25 years. She loved working with patients and training new incoming radiology students. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her sons.

She is survived by husband Timothy Hames, two sons: Joshua and Matthew Hames, all of Brunswick, a brother Joey Cassidy of Brunswick, two sisters: Judy Woodward of Randolph, NH and Lisa Durden of Brunswick, a nephew John Durden of Brunswick, three nieces: Laura Dykstra Lynch of Berlin NH, Elizabeth Woodward of Beverly MA, Rebecca Durden of Brunswick, and great niece Kaitlyn Usher of Brunswick.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 2:00pm -5:00pm. Friends and family are invited to share memories and stories during this informal celebration.
