Suzanne Bauer passed from this world to the arms of her loving savior on March 29, 2018 at Southeast Georgia Health System. She was born to Alveta and Carl Bauer on May 4, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio. She spent most of her adult life in Ohio working in a hospital nursery. In 1992, Suzanne and her mother and brother moved to coastal Georgia. She took care of her mother until her mother’s death. Suzanne worked at Winn Dixie on St. Simons Island. She moved to St. Marks Tower until she then went to receive care at the Senior Care Center.
Suzanne was a long and faithful member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. She always had a sweet spirit and a ready smile. She had a wide circle of close friends who loved her dearly. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 4:00PM at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, St. Simons Island with the Reverend Bonnie Lanyi officiating. Suzanne is survived by her older brother, Carl F. Bauer, of Waverly, her care-givers, Judi Fergus and Nancy Bandy, and so many others who cherished their times together. Suzanne will be buried next to her parents in Columbus, Ohio. Memorials may be given to The Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia or to Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
