of Brunswick, Georgia who passed away August 15, 2025, in Statham, Georgia of natural
causes. She was a native of Corpus Christi, Texas born on November 26, 1942. She graduated from W.B. Ray High School, Corpus Christi, Texas in 1960 and she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brunswick, Georgia.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Samuel D. Beard and Iva Mills Beard and her brothers Richard Wilson Beard and Samuel D. Beard, Jr., and her former husband Michael L. Drury.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter Kimberly Drury Adkins of Statham, Georgia, her son Michael L. Drury, Jr. of Pendergrass, Georgia. She had 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and extending family.
Viewing will be at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, Georgia on August 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
