Therese "Terry" Guthrie

Therese “Terry” Guthrie, 81, of Brunswick, GA passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. A native of West Warwick, Rhode Island, Mrs. Guthrie was born June 4, 1934 to the late Theodore and Rachell Gourd. As a Navy wife she had lived in many exotic places before setting down roots in Brunswick, GA in 1967. Mrs. Guthrie was of Catholic faith. She was retired from FLETC as a Project Manager and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Guthrie was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Chief” Guthrie.

She is survived by her two daughters Linda Jo Guthrie and Sharon Schlaak both of Brunswick, GA; Son Jeffrey and Meagan Guthrie of Greenville, PA; Grandchild Gwen Guthrie who will be arriving February 2016; Two brothers Ted Gourd and wife Jackie of Warwick, Rhode Island and Roger Gourd and wife Lillian of Ft. Myers Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend DeLeon Peacock officiating. Burial will be private.
