I Met Tom when we both worked in the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's Legal Division, and became friends.  He was the best presenter to our students that I have ever heard and is missed by all who knew him.  His lectures were so good that I enjoyed attending even though I was also a lecturer and senior member of the FLETC Legal Division staff.    He was truly one of the HICKS in our world, possessing (Honor, Integrity, Self Service, Integrity and Knowledge).

Time passes still when one is lost to us like Tom to my dear friend Phoebe. He was her constant and a force in her works as well  that I find myself missing for her. This, a year since you went, again a time to reflect on all the ways you touched those who knew you.   

TK was the force for good.  My fondest memories are of his talent and abilities to connect with students and people.  The FLETC has lost ANOTHER....  See you in Valhalla....

I was just searching for TK, remembering what an selfless, inspiring leader and a wonderful human being he was--hoping I could reconnect with him after having worked for him 20 years ago--only to find this heartbreaking news. No one who knew TK was unchanged by knowing him, and none will ever forget him. 

Tom was one of my best friends at MacArthur High School in San Antonio, TX.  Many great memories of the swimming team, caving/spelunking in unbelievable places and visits over the years, while we were both in the military.  Great man, husband and consummate professional.  We will all miss him dearly.  Keep smiling Tom!!!!! Dale

I went to high school (MacArthur High School in San Antonio, Texas) with Tom, and had the honor of being one of his many friends. Tom was a great guy, with an amazing sense of humor, and he was liked by everyone. Rest In Peace, my friend---your kind soul and happy smile will be missed by all.

TK was by far one my favorite instructors while going through my law enforcement training at FLETC.  He had the knowledge and humor to turn even the driest of material into a laughable learning experience.  Looking back I can remember my entire classes excitement when he walked in the room, knowing we had an excellent teacher and entertaining class ahead of us.  Hot damn sir, thank you for everything you did for us.

My deepest condolences.  

I have the fondest memories of TK and Phoebe from Korea in the late 1990s. 

TK was a mentor and an example.  I recall one situation while serving as a defense lawyer under TK; in the middle of a court martial he pulled the young prosecutor aside and gave him guidance and assistance from his many years of experience.  Rather than focus on one side or the other, he was entirely interested in helping all involved by improving the entire system. 

His memory and teachings will live on through those he impacted and influenced. It was a privilege to serve with him.
