Thomas “Chris” Christian Milner Jr., 84, of Darien, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on October 20, 2025.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 31, 1941, Chris was the son of the late Thomas Christian and Jenna Sue Milner. He graduated from Henry Grady High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from the University of West Georgia. After college, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Following his service, Chris built a successful career in sales with Procter & Gamble and Lipton Tea before embracing a more creative calling as a toymaker — a profession that reflected both his imagination and his joy in bringing happiness to others.
In 1998, Chris and his wife, Ward Turner Milner, made Darien their home. They became active members of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, where faith and fellowship were important parts of their lives.
Chris is preceded in death by both his parents, Thomas Christian Milner, Sr. and Jenna Sue Milner; and his sister, Julia Milner Dewey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ward Turner Milner; his sister, Susan Milner Wardlaw; his brother, Robert Milner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his warmth, integrity, and gentle humor.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home of Brunswick, GA have been entrusted with final arrangements.
