Our hearts are grieved by the passing of Timothy (Tim) K. Raulerson (67) at his home in Jacksonville, Florida on July 25, 2025. He is predeceased by his parents, John L. Raulerson, Jr. and Dorothy Rogers Raulerson of St. Simons Island and his brother John Roger Raulerson, also of St. Simons Island. He is survived by his brother Randy Raulerson of Jacksonville, Florida and his sister Libby Raulerson Walsh (Tim) of St Simons Island. He is also survived by his niece, Aubrey Robinson (Brent), his nephew Raymond Walsh (Kari), and his two great-nephews Charlie and Davis Robinson.
Tim graduated from Glynn Academy in 1976. He left Glynn County in 1979 to pursue an engineering career with the telecommunications company Rolm. His first assignment with Rolm was in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. After spending 6 years in Mt. Pleasant, he was transferred to Washington, D.C. for one year, then moved to Santa Clara, CA in 1987. Rolm was acquired by IBM, then Siemens. Tim retired from Siemens in 1997 as an engineering manager. He had a rewarding career traveling domestically and internationally, designing and troubleshooting telecommunication systems.
Tim retired to the East Coast in 1997, moving to Jacksonville, Florida. There he enjoyed fishing, dirt bike riding, street bike riding, and exploring the night sky. He was a member of the River City Dirt Riders and enjoyed star gazing events with the NE Florida Astronomical Society. His love of travel led him to a post-retirement job of driving for Schneider Truck Lines and Bridgestone Tires. He retired from driving in March of 2023, having ridden by motorcycle or truck all 48 contiguous states.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Tim will be held on September 20, 2025 from 10:00 – 12:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick Georgia. He will be laid to rest in the family plot at Christ Church Cemetery following the Celebration of Life service.
