Vance Alton Peterson

Vance Alton Peterson, 62, of Darien, GA passed away Friday June 8, 2012 at the Brunswick Campus of Southeast Georgia Health System. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday June 16, 2012 at the Contentment Bluff Pavilion in

Shellman Bluff in North McIntosh County. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Peterson was born May 13, 1950 in Douglas Georgia to the late Henry Alton Peterson and Jean Young Peterson. He had been a resident of McIntosh County for twenty seven years. Mr. Peterson was a graduate of Atkinson County High School and attended South Georgia College in Douglas GA. He retired from Mock Plumbing and Mechanical as a sheet metal worker.

Mr. Peterson was a avid fisherman that enjoyed boating and reading in his past time. He was also a member of the Kirkland Methodist Church.

Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife Latrelle Peterson of Darien, GA; his mother Jean Peterson of Pearson, GA; a sister Jeannine Moss and husband Randall of Brunswick, GA; a brother Ray Peterson a wife Sharon of Pearson, GA; his brother-in-law Brice Morgan and wife Bobbie of Milledgeville, GA and several nieces and nephews.
