Vernon Allan Clements

Vernon Allan Clements, 83, of Brunswick, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Bayview nursing Home in Nahunta. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11AM in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Creekmore officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery. Born December 26, 1930 in Telfair County, Georgia to the late Alonzo L. and Exie Lee A. Clements, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a retired Commercial Timber Inspector for A.W. Williams Inspection Company. Mr. Clements had been a resident of Glynn County for the past 45 years, and attended Glyndale Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, watching basketball and football, as well as working with his citrus and banana trees.

Survivors include his wife, Willene Clements of Brunswick, a son V.A. Clements and wife Carey of Deland, FL, a daughter, Kay Smith and husband Troy of Waynesboro, three grandchildren, Emily Clements, Rhett Smith and Dylan Smith, and a brother, Ralph Clements of Atlanta.
