Victoria Lynn Ferrell Goodrich received the call she has been earnestly expecting for some time now and was ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 18,2024 after a courageous and extraordinarily long battle with Glioblastoma. Her anchor verse during this time was Psalms 139:16 “Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” She was 67.
Vicki was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother, loving sister, friend and mentor to many. Vicki will always be remembered for her compassion, caring and her ever present beautiful smile and listening ear to all who were blessed to have known her. Vicki served the community as the president of Living Well Ministries from 2002-2020. Her passion was helping people find wholeness in Jesus Christ as the ultimate healer of broken lives. Vicki’s legacy of love and compassion for people will continue long after she is welcomed home. The bible verse that best describes her life would be Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor, He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” Vicki epitomized the word integrity.
Vicki’s ability to transform a home during any holiday with warmth, love and delicious cooking will always be a treasured memory. For over 20 years she hosted Christmas gingerbread house building with all the kids. She loved decorating the Christmas tree with her grandchildren along with keepsake ornaments for each child. Vicki loved to travel and an Alaskan cruise was a highlight. She loved nothing better than sitting in a chair on a beach and soaking up the sun. Vicki loved her family well and created a legacy for generations to come by her faithfulness and intentionality.
Born in Brunswick, Ga and preceded in death by her parents Frank E. Ferrell Sr. and Mary Alice Corbitt Ferrell, brothers, Daniel O’Neal Ferrell and David Allen Ferrell. Vicki’s deceased aunt, Eliza Corbitt Browning, was a cherished mother figure for her throughout her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Thomas L.
